Heat protection for cables and hoses

Heat protection for cables and hoses: abrasion- and temperature resistant

Heat protection is used for cables and hoses that are exposed to the special operating or environmental conditions. Its main purpose is to resist extreme temperatures. Heat protection is ready for use in temperature range from -60 °C to + 800 °C and also shows the short-term resistance up to +1600 ° C. It acts as protective coat against possible sprays-outs of molten metal from outside, temperature impacts or different mechanical damages. Heat protection is made of special fiberglass that ensures protection of cables, pipelines and hoses from different kinds of external damages.

Qualities and advantages of heat protection:

• Material: ElatexSil (silicon-coated fiberglass) or ElatexKevlar (aluminium-coated fiberglass)
• Size range: DN10 - DN500
• Maximum size adaptation to the cable dimensions
• Temperature range: from -60 °C to + 800 °C (*short-term 1600°C)
• Fastening types: sewed fastening, metallic cords with eyelet holes
• washable
• reusable
• simple handling: easy mounting and demounting of heat protection, quick access to the protected element
• High mechanical abrasion-resistance: safe and robust materials with good tear strength reduce cable wearing

Application area of heat protection:

• Heat protection for rubber and pressure hoses
• Heat protection for metal hoses
• Heat for cables
• Heat protection for plastic pipes
