COAL DUST DAMPER
The coal dust dampers are designed for installation in pulverized-coal ducts of continuous coal pulverization systems of coal power plants. These coal dust dampers are mounted beneath the pulverized coal separators and by the rejects chutes, as well as beneath the aspiration and ash collecting cyclones. The main purpose of coal dust damper is to provide the pouring of pulverized coal in continuous flow and the protection of cyclones from air sucking when pulverized coal passes from the low-pressure area to the atmospheric pressure area.
When discharging pulverized coal and slag from the dust-collecting and transporting devices, it is essential that the gas tightness be ensured. The optimum position of the coal dust damper load is to be adjusted during installation so that to eliminate the air sucking to the low pressure area as well as to ensure the valve opening under the minimal weight of pulverized coal. The pillar of pulverized coal above the valve serves as a sealing agent. A coal dust damper may be offered in a version featured with a transition between rectangular and round flanges. The cone swing valve is gastight due to tight fitting between the cone and the valve body. The coal dust dampers are available within size range from DN 100 mm to DN 600 mm.
